“I fell for you and I am still falling”
Lake District Wedding Photographer
Hello I’m Jodie, a Lake District wedding photographer with a passion for capturing the raw, candid, and beautiful moments that tell the story of your wedding day. Based in the stunning Lake District of Cumbria, I’m lucky to photograph weddings in one of the most breathtaking parts of the world. Whether you’re saying "I do" in a grand manor house, having an intimate elopement by the lake, or celebrating with a relaxed, non-traditional wedding, I’m here to capture all the love, laughter, and magic that makes your day uniquely yours.
So, let’s start with this: I’m not one for taking myself too seriously! I hate having my photo taken, so I totally understand how you feel when you’re in front of the camera – but don’t worry, I’ve got you! Photography has been my thing for as long as I can remember, and I want you to feel relaxed and have fun with it.
I’m someone who prefers the quiet corners of life—whether that's getting lost in a book or sipping coffee on a lazy Sunday. Although, for the most part, when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me out and about, exploring the Lakes, or in my regular job.
My Journey as a Cumbrian Wedding Photographer
For a long time, photography was my escape from the 9-to-5 grind, using my family as my willing (or not-so-willing!) "props" for my practice shots. Over time, my love for photography grew, and it became clear that this was something I wanted to pursue professionally.
Now, as a Cumbrian wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to do what I love in a place that’s full of romance, beauty, and adventure. From Lake District weddings with stunning backdrops to intimate elopements surrounded by the tranquil Cumbrian countryside, I get to capture the kind of memories that last a lifetime.
I’m not a writer (as you might have guessed by now!), so I won’t bore you with a long speech. What I can tell you is that my non-traditional style of wedding photography is all about capturing the real moments — the spontaneous laughter, the tears of joy, and the quiet, intimate moments that make your day so special. I want you to be able to relive the emotions of your wedding day every time you look at your photos.
As a dyslexic photographer, I let my images speak for me. Photography is how I communicate best. I’m here to capture your love story in a way that’s natural, fun, and full of personality. I focus on making sure that you have a relaxed, enjoyable experience while I quietly document your day as it unfolds.
Let's Chat!
If you're planning a wedding in the Lake District, Cumbria, or the North West of England, I’d love to hear from you! Give me a call for a chat, some advice, or just a bit of the ‘craic’ – let’s make your wedding day unforgettable with stunning photographs that will last a lifetime.
My Style
My editing is inspired by fine art photography and editorials. Soft and dreamy, enhancing some colours while desaturating others. The weather also plays a part and I can't control Mother Nature therefore it can change aspects in my editing. As much as my own style is soft, dreamy and colourful, the weather doesn't always play ball so please bear this in mind. I simply can't create something that isn't there but I'll always try and bring out the magic in every moment.
Photography is an Artform and subjective to interpretation..... this is mine.
A good book
A spa day
Jelly sweets - especially sour & tangy
I’m a foodie, though I'm not much of a cook! My favourite is a beef dinner
I love coffee ( latte ) so I will probably arrive to any shoot with a coffee in hand
Horse riding - I don’t do it much now but I’m lucky to still have them in my life
The Beach - I live really close to it so I’m always there. I also love ice cream so the beach is the best place to get it -even when it's pouring with rain!
Live music - I love going to gigs and my taste in music is very mixed. From rock, indie, and a good power balled to a bit of pop, what ever gives me vibes.
If you play a bit of Dirty Dancing or Metallica then the camera will be set aside.
